Hola Rosie and Tony. With regards to purchasing gold,I will let you know Rosie, that you indeed can get some attractive bargains,if you hunt in the old part of Porlamar,HOWEVER,the not-so-great news,is,that by the time you pay the taxes and(and more tax if you buy lots and declare it), it really is not much of a saving at all. There is also a classy, high end gold/jewelry joint located on the Playa El Agua strip, right beside the Margarita Cafe, where you might get something good, and at the very least,it's great on the eye's!lol. Tony, mi ameigo,if you can work your way as well,to Playa El Agua, you can locate a good friend of mine that I have hooked up with for the past ten visits, who can track you down great black/white pearls for awesome prices. His name is Peppy and he could also hook you up with great money exchange.Buena's swearte (good luck), and if you guys happen to be leaving from Pearson,on Feb 2,well "lord love a chicken, two roosters and a duck...."we'll likely see ya THERE OR IN THE AIR.
