For many years, I have been a Professional Tour Guide in Venezuela, and it has launched me today, to a leading role in the planning and execution of tours. I cover a wide area of the country,  thanks to my personal relationship with a team that I partially put together and whom I believe are among the best. Physical Information

Margarita Island - has 363 sq miles (941 km2) - 43 miles (67 km) from East to West - 21 miles (34 km) from North to South.
Coche Island - has 15 sq miles (55 km2) - 8 miles (12,6 km) from East to West and 6 miles (9,2 km) from North to South.
Cubagua Island - has 7 sq miles (24 km2) - 6 miles ( 9,2 km ) from East to West and 2,5 miles (4 km) from North to South.

All three island build the state: Nueva Esparta (New Spartan)
The "Estado Nueva Esparta" belongs among other 23 states to the Republic of Venezuela.
Located 23 miles northeast of Venezuela's mainland, Margarita Island is completely surrounded by the Caribbean Sea.

Geographicly, we are 11º north of the Equator and 64º west from Greenwich. The UV Rays are therefore much more intense here than in USA, Canada or Europe. That's why I recommend sunblock lotion, factor 35 - 45.

Average temperature on the island is 87º F (28º C), the breeze from northeast is ideal for "windsurfing" and of low humidity, except August through October, where the breeze is just a little draft and temperature raises up to 90º (32º C). By being out of the hurricane path, we have very good weather throughout the year and an everlasting summertime. The population:  about 400.000 habitants. (2006).
